Department of Physical Therapy

 

 

Department of Physical Therapy at Hiroshima International University was established in April, 2006. This is a 4-year undergraduate program and the graduates are qualified for the national physical therapy qualification exams. This brand new program currently consists of 12 faculty members and 79 freshman students and will grow every year. Soon in the future, graduate program will be established.

 

The primary goal of this website is to introduce the department with detailed information on the department. The English pages are developed to introduce this outstanding program to international colleagues and students. International applicants or collaborations are welcomed. Please contact us via e-mail should you have any questions about this website, our department or our research.

 

“Announcement” page posts messages to the public, including research collaboration opportunities, graduate studentship, events and lectures, and much more. Your periodical visit is highly recommended to catch up with our exciting activities.

 

“Syllabus” page lists our graduate and undergraduate educational courses offered by the department. Qualified instructors offer unique and specialized class or lab activities so that the students will be well prepared for internship, externship and national qualification exams. Browse the details of the lectures and labs to find out the outstanding features.

 

“Facilities” page lists our state-of-the-art research and educational labs, facilities and equipments. Some of the highlights are mocap lab with 8 Vicon cameras and force plates, gene lab, anatomy lab, physiology lab, and computer lab. Find out the details of equipments and software programs.

 

“Faculty” page provides educational, clinical and research backgrounds of each faculty members. Feel free to contact any of them if you are interested in their activities.

 

“Alumni” page will not be posted until 2010 when the class of 2006 graduates. Please check back if you are interested in seeing what they would do after commencement

 

“Students” page is entirely produced by each tutorial class members. They introduce themselves, explain how they prepare for the exams, or express their dreams about their future as a physical therapist.

 

“Research” page lists abstracts of the studies produced by DPT at HIU. Should you have any questions about any of them or request more information, don’t hesitate to contact us.
